Guardian Industries has launched its SunGuard mobile application for use in iPhones, Android devices and iPads. The app featured in Apple’s Store and Google’s Android Market by searching for Guardian SunGuard.

The SunGuard app allows users to browse and interact with projects worldwide. The Guardian sales team, partners and customers can quickly access and view all the possibilities that SunGuard advanced architectural glass offers, from anywhere around the world.

Guardian SunGuard is high performance low-E coated glass for commercial applications that offers unprecedented solar control and is available in a wide variety of colors and performance levels.

“The new SunGuard app allows users to explore and learn more about SunGuard products and projects while on the go, and will be a great tool for our sales team to use while visiting architects and customers,” said Chris Dolan, Guardian’s director of commercial glass marketing. “We’re already getting good reviews from early users of the app.”

Utilizing smart phone GPS capabilities and a photo gallery, users can locate buildings that use SunGuard products nearby, or around the world. The app, created by a cross-team partnership at Guardian and Curve Detroit, provides project details including the SunGuard products used, performance data, a project photo, the architectural firm, glazier, fabricator and more, the company said.

“One of the main ideas behind our new app was to give people real-life examples of how SunGuard products look and perform in the field,” Dolan said. “Our customers and business partners are most interested in the appearance of a project and the performance of the glass. The SunGuard app delivers both via a mobile medium.”

“Increasingly, our customers, most people, in fact, use their smart phones and iPads in the same way they’ve used laptops or desktop computers,” he added. “We’ve taken the information our customers are most interested in and provided it in a format that will meet their needs.”
